Building a strong group of passionate, committed, professional volunteers allows H.E.A.R.T.S. to carry out the mission of our organization for the adolescent parents in our community. Volunteers are an asset to the H.E.A.R.T.S community. We believe volunteers:
Build and strengthen the structure of the organization
Raise awareness and bring light to the challenges of teen pregnancy
Develop a stronger and healthier community surrounding adolescent parents
Carry the mission to reduce the likelihood of pregnancy with adolescent parents in our community and beyond

Program Assistant
You will perform a variety of tasks depending on project goals and deadlines within the organization. These tasks will include phone call management, content distribution, special events planning, and other administrative tasks. This position helps to extend the resources in H.E.A.R.T.S. to better assist and direct the needs of our participants.

Fundraising Assistant
You will move beyond working on-site to provide support for the entire organization. You will compile materials for grant applications and other funding opportunities, develop media contacts, recruit sponsors for fundraising events, and interact with donors and donor databases.
You will also attend community events to solicit donations and sponsorships.
Skills and Qualifications: Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Some experience in fundraising is preferred.

Grant Writer/Researcher
You will write grant proposals, assemble and submit grant requests, establish and maintain relationships with granter contacts, and conduct prospect research. You will serve as a liaison to all funding agencies and maintain a calendar of submissions and deadlines, so you may work closely with the funding assistant.
Skills and Qualifications: Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Some experience in grant/proposal writing is preferred.

Social Media Assistant
You will manage new and existing social media outlets to build
H.E.A.R.T.S.’ online presence and network of support. You will inform the public about organizational events via the H.E.A.R.T.S. Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and website accounts. You will monitor social marketing tools and trends. You will attend events to capture moments and content to share with the online community.
Skills and Qualifications: Experience with various social media platforms, intermediate computer skills, oral/written communication, and marketing and data entry.
Requirements and Commitment: A minimum of 10 hours per week with a 3-month commitment. Flexible schedule and have the ability to work remotely

H.E.A.R.T.S. Mentor
You will serve as a trusted, compassionate friend and role model, responsible for arranging the meeting times and open communication with your assigned mentee. You will work on certain aspects of the mentee’s development and work closely with program staff to understand the youth and their situations better.
Skills and Qualifications: Anyone can be a mentor, but H.E.A.R.T.S. is looking for former teen parents, both male, and female, 30+ years old and up. We believe that experience is the best teacher, and your journey as a teen parent can be an inspiration to another teen parent. o Requirements and Commitment: Mentors will be asked to commit to 4 hours a month with their mentees. These hours can be accumulated via phone, text, and/or in-person. Of the four hours, H.E.A.R.T.S. would love for 1-2 hours to be in-person to build a healthier and stronger relationship. Event Assistant
You will aid with organizing H.E.A.R.T.S. events and be a resource to attendees. You will assist with planning, set-up, and break-down, registration, item organization, greeting attendees, and more.
