20/20 Sisters of Vision - The Giving Circle
We Believe in the power of Partnership. Thank you 20/20 Sisters of Vision and Triangle Community Foundation for believing in H.E.A.R.T.S.
The 20/20 Sisters of Vision Giving Circle is a community Giving Circle which empowers and provides financial aid and other assistance to women and families in need. 20/20 SOV is the first giving circle to partner with H.E.A.R.T.S. in 2020 in the capacity to assist financials and contribute their time, talents, and treasures. Denise Rowson, the Co-Founder, volunteers with H.E.A.R.T.S. every Thursday to assist Ms. Tameka with grant writing, major program projects, and administrative task.
The Circle is comprised of women of the African diaspora whose common mission is to “Empower women and families in local and global communities.” The organization is part of the Community Investment Network (CIN), which is a network of African-American Giving Circles throughout the U.S. The organization is also affiliated with the Triangle Community Foundation for purpose of administering its nonprofit funds and has assisted H.E.A.R.T.S. in building relationships with the TCF. Because of the 20/20 SOV, H.E.A.R.T.S. has obtained funding from the Durham County Nonprofit Funding Grant, the Triangle Capacity Building Network Grant, the Participatory Budget Durham Grant, and the Black Girl Fund Grant resulting in over $119,555 of nonprofit funding. 20/20 SOV is the true epitome of partnership and now H.E.A.R.T.S. can continue to serve young parents in Durham County.
